Many of God’s people are at a threshold point, where they are about to enter the new season the Lord has for them. At this threshold or transition time, the Lord is refreshing and renewing His people due to their weariness from the battle of the last season and to prepare them for the new season. The new season will be one of acceleration into His plans and purposes where the people of God ‘run’ as the plans the Lord has for them come into place quickly and there is rapid advancement into the next level of their divine destiny.

 

I heard the Lord say, “Many are weary from the battle, fire and intensity of the past season but I am refreshing and renewing My people at this time so they will be ready and positioned to run in the season ahead. This refreshing and renewing is coming to those who have leaned in to Me through this time and have allowed Me to be their strength. They have continued to take faithful steps of obedience and they have continued to stand in faith as their trust is in Me. They know I see the full plan for the path ahead and am faithful to fulfil what I have spoken in My perfect time. They rest in the knowledge I am ordering their steps and working all things together for their good. My refreshing rain is coming to renew and revitalize them for the season ahead where they will run, for it will be a time of rapid acceleration into all I have planned for them. My rain is coming to refresh and renew them so they will surge forward into the new season I have prepared for them. Many are at a threshold moment. It is not a time to retreat but it is a time to lean in to Me and push forward, for the promise of the new awaits. My rain is not only coming to refresh and renew but to wash away the old which can’t be taken into the new season. It is with the washing and renewing that they will be able to run on the path set before them.”

 

Many people have walked a difficult path of refining, testing and spiritual warfare in the past season but through these times the Lord has prepared them for the new He is releasing to them. Their faith has been strengthened as they have been refined by the fire of God. In the months ahead we will see many promises and prophetic words come to pass at one time. Words that we have shelved and wondered how they will come to pass will suddenly manifest in our lives. Rapid advancement and acceleration will be seen in the new season.

 

There were a number of points the Lord highlighted to me that were needed as people stand at the threshold point, where they are at the end of the current season and are about to step into the new season the Lord has for them –

 

Press in to Him and surrender the old –

At the threshold between the old and new seasons, it is critical to press in to the Lord to receive revelation on what the Lord wants you to leave behind including incorrect mindsets and anything hindering you from walking in the fullness of what the Lord has for you in the new season. The Lord also wants to highlight things in your life that need to be brought into correct alignment and the strategies for alignment. It is important to be intentional about pressing in to the Lord when you are at the threshold to the new so as to ensure you receive divine revelation and enter the new season well.

 

Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV) – And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV) – ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Romans 12:2 (NKJV) – And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

 

Embrace the new –

As you stand at the threshold to the new, the Lord wants to release revelation relating to the new season. He may only release the first step you are to take, or the first part of the assignment He has for you, or He may release an overview of the path ahead. He also wants to release information on who is to run with you in the new season, meaning divine alliances that you are to carry through to the new season or new alliances the Lord is bringing to you. The Lord is releasing strategies to you on how you are to prepare for what He has planned in the season ahead.

 

Psalms 25:4-5 (The Passion Translation) – Lord, direct me throughout my journey so I can experience your plans for my life. Reveal the life-paths that are pleasing to you. Escort me along the way; take me by the hand and teach me. For you are the God of my increasing salvation; I have wrapped my heart into yours!

James 1:5 (NKJV) – If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Psalms 32:8 (NASB) – I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

 

Continue taking steps of faith and obedience –

The Lord has seen the steps of faith and obedience you have taken in the past season and at times the path the Lord has had for you has been a difficult one. Your faith, endurance and perseverance were built up in this last season through the path you walked. He is encouraging you to push forward and continue to take steps of faith and obedience to the leading of His Spirit as He positions you to enter the new season well.

 

Philippians 3:13-14 (NKJV) – but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

 

Stand in faith and give thanks in advance knowing He is faithful –

The Lord is encouraging you to continue to stand in faith for the promises He has spoken over your life and the new season that you are going to step into. Trust in His timing as He will bring you into the new season at the perfect time.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV) – in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV) – Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

 

Lean on Him –

At the threshold to the new season, we can lean on Him and put our trust in Him knowing His thoughts and ways are higher than ours. When we lean on Him, we let go of our own understanding and put our trust in Him. The Lord knows the plans He has for us and He sees the whole picture while we only see part of the path ahead. He is a good Father who will never leave us or forsake us. The Lord is calling us to rest in Him knowing He is ordering our steps and is making the path straight before us.

 

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) – “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Psalm 62:5-6 (NASB) – My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken.

 

Receive the refreshing and renewing He wants to give –

As many of the people of God are at the threshold to the new season, the Lord is releasing His rain to refresh and renew His people so they enter the new season energized and ready to run. We need to allow His living water to wash over us, fill and refresh us.

 

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) – But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

 

Get ready to run!
