RISE OF THE LORD’S ARMY

As I sat with the Lord recently I had a vision of a person and I knew this person represented someone the Lord was raising up for His purposes. The Lord spoke to me and said, “I am raising up those with a mind fixed on things above, with a pure heart to serve and love, with ears that hear the truth and My voice, with eyes fixed on Me to see with heavenly perspective, and with feet that move in obedience to My leading. I use those who are surrendered to Me. These are people who live to bring glory to My name and to see My Kingdom advance.” I saw this person had on the armour of God but the armour was coming to life. It was like the armour was part of the person, not separate to them. The person was pulsing with life as they wore the armour.

The Lord’s army includes those who are carrying out His plans and purposes in the earth. This army is being added to daily and includes those of all ages, backgrounds and races. In many cases these are ‘no name’ or unknown people in the earth who have been hidden but who are being revealed and highlighted by the Lord in His perfect timing for His purposes.

Mind fixed on things above

Colossians 3:2 TPT – Feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Matthew 6:33 TPT – So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom, and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.

As our minds are fixed on things above, we are not distracted by what may be happening around us and the troubles we face as our focus is unwavering. We understand the treasures that await us as we focus on heavenly realities. We are to constantly pursue the realm of God’s kingdom.

Pure heart to serve and love

Matthew 5:8 TPT – What bliss you experience when your heart is pure! For then your eyes will open to see more and more of God. Psalm 51:10 TPT – Create a new, clean heart within me. Fill me with pure thoughts and holy desires, ready to please you. 2 Timothy 2:21 TPT – …you are to be a pure container of Christ and dedicated to the honorable purposes of your Master, prepared for every good work that he gives you to do. Matthew 23:11 TPT – The greatest among you will be the one who always serves others from the heart.

A person with a pure heart has an uncompromising desire to pursue the things of God and to live for Him. They have no hidden motives. They have given their lives to Jesus and have asked Him to cleanse them. They have been sanctified by the Lord’s refining fire and His pruning in their lives. When we are dedicated to God’s purposes we are then prepared for the assignments He gives us. We will serve and love others with a pure heart when we look at others as Jesus sees them.

Ears that hear the truth and the voice of Jesus

Mark 4:23-24 – “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.” Then He added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given – and you will receive even more.” John 10:27 TPT – My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me. Isaiah 30:21 – Your own ears will hear Him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

Jesus was saying that those who listen to His teaching would receive more understanding. It is important for us to have a ‘teachable spirit’ and to be a vessel that can be molded and shaped. We need to be open to hear the voice of the Lord and to follow Him. We are to be led by the Holy Spirit who directs and guides us.

Eyes fixed on Jesus to see with heavenly perspective

2 Corinthians 4:18 TPT – We don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal. Hebrews 12:2 TPT – We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us.

The Lord wants us to see our circumstances as He sees them. He wants us to replace our fleshly perspective with a heavenly perspective, trusting in the Lord and knowing He is faithful and will work all things for our good. As we focus our attention on things above, it puts our circumstances into perspective. We are not to fix our eyes on our circumstances and what we see, but instead are to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith. When we focus on who God is and who Christ is in us we will see with heavenly perspective.

Feet that move in obedience

Luke 11:28 TPT – God will bless all who listen to the Manifestation of God and carefully obey everything they hear. James 1:22 TPT – Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life! Romans 8:14 TPT – The mature children of God are only those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.

We are to act in obedience to the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit and we are to act in accordance with the Word of God. Obedience brings glory to God and advances His plans and purposes for us. The Lord will bless us when we obey what we hear.

Armour of God

Ephesians 6:10-11 TPT – Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of the explosive power flowing in and through you. Put on the full suit of armor that God wears when he goes into battle, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser!

The full armour of God – belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God – are the tools God has given us to be spiritually victorious. In the vision I had the armour was one with the person, or part of them, and they were pulsing with life as they wore the armour. We are in union with Christ and the power of His Spirit flows in and through us. As we wear His armour, it becomes part of us. God’s armour is more than protective clothing – it is the very life of Christ.

Army Arising

In Acts 13:36 we read that David ‘passionately served God’s desires for his generation.’ This is how we too are to live – passionately carrying out God’s plans and purposes. Anybody can be an instrument in God’s hands. He is looking for those who live to advance His Kingdom and bring glory to His name. God assures us that He will be with us and equip us with all we need as we step out on the leading of the Spirit. The Lord is raising up those who will be used in His army to advance His Kingdom. Will you be part of His army?
