I’M ADVANCING TIME
Today when I was praying and sitting with the Lord to ask Him what He wanted to say He said, “I’m advancing time.” I then had a vision of an old fashioned watch which had ornate hands and face and an old weathered band. The time on the clock was 11 o’clock. I then saw this watch suddenly change to a brand new, modern watch and the hands on the clock showed the time to be 1 o’clock. I felt the Lord was saying He is moving people out of a transition stage (11 o’clock) into a new time, His time (1 o’clock).
The Lord spoke to me about why the new time was one o’clock –
-
One as a symbol of God as the origin – The new time will be one where everyone knows that the new move is from God as the new move will be so powerful and full of the glory of God that people will know the source and will be drawn to the source. Testimonies of the way the Lord will work powerfully in and through His people will bring glory to His name. (Matthew 5:16 – Let your light shine before others so they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven).
-
One as a symbol of beginning – People will be stepping into the beginning of a great move both in their individual lives as well as corporately in the life of church, the bride of Christ.
-
One as a symbol of unity and love – This new move will be showcased by unity and love. The church as a whole, the bride of Christ, will walk as one in unity and love. (Colossians 3:14 – And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 1Peter 3:8 – Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart and a humble mind).
The Lord also spoke to me about the watch changing from old to new –
-
Old to new as a symbol of coming to life – The Lord is stirring people and reigniting past dreams and desires He placed within them. He is breathing new life on these dreams as now is the time for them to advance with life. The Lord is asking us to speak life over the promises God has given us. He is asking His people to bring the dry bones to life (Ezekiel 37:1-14).
-
Old to new as a symbol of new wineskin – Those who are willing to go through the process of refinement and preparation (those willing to have new wineskin) will be vessels to carry the new move of the Spirit that is coming. We must have new wineskins in order to carry the new wine. (Matthew 9:17)
-
Old to new as a symbol of something not seen before – This move of the Spirit will be one that has not been seen before. While this move of the Spirit will be a new move and different from previous moves, it will still have elements that are recognizable in previous outpourings of the Spirit (both images were watches even though they were different watches). Anyone of any age, including children and the elderly, will be used in this move if they are willing to yield themselves to the Lord and are willing to let their light shine and be carriers of the glory of God. (Isaiah 60:1 – Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you).
Lastly, the Lord spoke to be about the word advancing –
‘Advance’ means to move forward in a purposeful way. The Lord is strategically positioning people at this time and aligning people in preparation for this move of the Spirit and their advancement into the plans and purposes of the Lord for them. The Lord is speaking to His people and leading them in preparation for this advance as everyone who is willing WILL be used by the Lord. No striving will be needed in order to advance, all that is needed is to rest on Jesus and His timing and be led by the Holy Spirit. (Exodus 33:14 – My presence will go with you and I will give you rest). Those who are hungry for more will not be disappointed. (James 4:8 – Draw near to God and He will draw near to you). The people of God will find that they will step into a time of acceleration, where things that would have taken a long time to achieve, will occur in a short timeframe. They will speak of the ‘sudden advances’ that God will do in their lives. God is advancing time!
The Lord is inviting us to be expectant for the new time (His time) and the new move of the Spirit that is coming to us individually as well as across the body of Christ.
