Today when I sat with the Lord I asked Him what He wanted to say and He gave me the following vision…

 

I saw a vegetable garden and I knew the garden represented people’s lives. As I looked I could see the person whose garden it belonged to watering the garden and caring for it. Some plants in the garden didn’t seem very vibrant and didn’t seem to be growing well but others were growing at a normal rate. The person was persisting and continuing to care for the garden, trusting a harvest would come but I sensed they were waiting and wanting more from their garden, as they knew more was coming and more was possible. They were discontent with a normal garden and wanted an abundant harvest. I then saw huge, strong hands come in and work in the garden. I knew they were the gardener’s (God’s) hands and they were so lovingly pruning some plants, fertilizing others and generally caring for the garden.

 

Suddenly I saw the plants growing at a fast rate and I saw the person pulling out vegetables from their garden that were so rich in colour and were so much larger than even they had dreamed they would be when they were first planted. They had grown to such a large size in such a small amount of time. I also noticed those plants that had been pruned were now sprouting and looked rich and abundant with life. The person who owned the garden was surprised by the harvest they received.

 

Next I saw the gardener’s hands again and they dug down deep into the dirt in the garden and pulled out a treasure chest. As the chest opened I could see it was full of gifts. The gardener smiled and had such delight in giving the gifts and watching the person open them.

 

I believe the Lord is saying that there are some people who have diligently trusted in the Lord. (Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will act). They have been waiting to see the promises of the Lord manifest in their lives. There have been areas of their lives that the Lord has pruned and adjusted. The Lord is saying the areas of pruning are going to reap abundant fruit. The time of waiting is coming to an end and suddenly people are going to see the plans and purposes of the Lord manifest in their lives. The plans the Lord has in store will be so much grander than they even dreamed of and they will occur in an accelerated timeframe. (Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think). The people will be astounded by what the Lord does in and through their lives. Not only will people see the promises fulfilled and their destiny revealed, they will be overwhelmed by the goodness of God and the surprises and gifts He bestows on them, just because He loves them. (James 1:17 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change).

 

We are going to see abundant growth in our lives and acceleration into the purposes God has for us and we will be overwhelmed by the goodness and love of God
