For the last three days I have heard the Lord say, “There is power in My name.” I have heard this over and over. Today I also had a vision of an army arising. I was looking down on a map of the world and there were people from all parts of the world who were ablaze with fire and who were impacting others and their regions for the kingdom of God. These people were everyday people who understood their kingdom authority through Jesus and they were operating in that authority and the power of the Holy Spirit. These people were adorned with power from on high. They were lighting others on fire who were then taking the fire to more people. The fire was spreading and more and more people were joining the army. An army of fire was arising!

 

I felt the Lord wanted to remind His people that He has given us authority to operate in His name. In Matthew 28:18-19 we read Jesus came close to them and said, “All the authority of the universe has been given to me. Now go in my authority and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus also says in Luke 10:19 – “I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.” In Matthew 10:1 we read that Jesus gathered his twelve disciples and imparted to them authority to cast out demons and to heal every sickness and every disease.

 

God gives the Holy Spirit who gives mighty power (2 Timothy 1:7). The Word of God tells us that the kingdom realm of God comes with power (1 Corinthians 4:20). Scripture gives us many examples of miracles that were done in the name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 3:6 we read about Peter healing a crippled man. Then Peter said, “I don’t have money, but I’ll give you this – by the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk!” In Acts 6:8 we read ‘Stephen, who was a man full of grace and supernatural power, performed many astonishing signs and wonders and mighty miracles among the people’. In Luke 10:17 we read ‘When the seventy missionaries returned to Jesus, they were ecstatic with joy telling him, “Lord even the demons obeyed us when we commanded them in your name!”

 

We have been commissioned to impact our world in the name of Jesus for His glory. This is possible as we understand our kingdom authority and position and walk in that. The Lord is using everyday people who have surrendered all to Him and who are humble, passionate in their love for Him and obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. He is adorning them with power from on high and they are impacting their area of influence and bringing glory to His name. The Lord is raising up an army who carry His fire and who are setting others ablaze! Will you be part of His army?
