The Lord asked me to set aside two days this week to pray and seek Him. During this time, He gave me another word for 2019 which I wasn’t expecting. The previous word the Lord gave me was regarding 2019 being a year of ‘Enlarged and Focused Vision’. Over the two days the Lord expanded on this word and He said 2019 would be a ‘Joel 2:19’ year. The Lord is going to release material resources for assignments He has for His people to complete which will see much territory taken for the kingdom. He is going to move in a new way in the earth and He will fill His people with an increase in anointing in order to see greater transformation. The Lord will release new vision and strategies and as we partner with Him we will see new fruit, harvest and will release new songs of joy.

 

Joel 2:19 (NKJV) – The Lord will answer and say to His people, “Behold I will send you grain and new wine and oil…”

 

Release of Grain

 

Grain represents material blessing or resources to complete the assignments the Lord has for us. In this time of great acceleration of God’s plans, He is going to release great provision to individuals and ministries to allow them to step into the mandate that He has for them. Much territory will be taken for the kingdom of God this year and one of the ways this will be achieved is through the release of divine resources. The hand of God will clearly be seen as He orchestrates the release of provision. In other cases God will reveal divine strategies for advancement to His people that will open doors of material blessing to fund kingdom ministry. Many people who have felt held back and restrained due to lack of provision and resources will see the Lord move on their behalf and open the floodgates of heaven, opening the way for them to step into their kingdom assignment in His perfect timing.

 

Isaiah 45:3 (NKJV) – I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who calls you by your name, am the God of Israel.

 

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV) – And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have abundance for every good work.

 

Release of New Wine

 

The Lord is going to release new wine into the church this year but it will only be poured out into vessels that have been prepared to carry the new. Many of God’s people have been through an intense time of preparation, refining and renewing. He is perfecting His bride and is calling us to renew and transform our mindsets and more deeply align our hearts, minds and ways with His. The Lord is doing a fresh thing in the earth, a fresh thing for this time. If we are to have eyes to see the new thing we need to be yielded to Him and willing to be renewed and molded. The Lord is calling us to empty out the old and embrace the refining and renewing process. The greater glory that will be seen in the earth will be released through people with humility and purity of heart. While the Lord is releasing new strategies for kingdom advancement He is also calling His people to return to the ancient paths, His kingdom ways and the foundations of His word.

 

Matthew 9:17 (NKJV) – Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.

 

Jeremiah 6:16 (NKJV) – Thus says the LORD: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.”

 

Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) – Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

 

The Lord is looking for those individuals and ministries who will allow His Spirit to move with freedom, who are led by the Spirit, align with the Father’s heart and live to see Jesus glorified. The Lord is calling His church to lay down the old structures and ways and be intentional about seeking Him and partnering with Him.

 

Romans 12:2 (NKJV) – And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

 

Romans 12:2 (TPT) – Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think.

 

Release of Oil

 

Oil is a symbol of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Lord is going to increase the anointing on the lives of His people who have stewarded well what they have been given so they may more powerfully impact their area of influence for Him this year. The anointing does not point to us, but to God who empowers us. We are anointed to transform our area of influence for the advancement of the kingdom and to bring glory to God.

 

There will be many who have been hidden in God who will be raised up this year. They are the surrendered ones who have laid down their own agenda and taken up His call. They are willing to pay the price and carry their cross for Jesus. They have been stripped of the fear of man and instead are filled with the fear of the Lord. They have been through the refining fire and are willing to walk the narrow path. There is a price to pay for the anointing and the path is not an easy one at times but God’s grace is sufficient. Many are not pursuing the high calling and destiny the Lord has purposed for them because they are not willing to pay the price but the faithful remnant are arising who are willing to count the cost and they will release the glory of God in increased ways this year. They will do great exploits for God as they walk in love and display the power of God.

 

Luke 9:23 (NKJV) – Then He said to them all, “If anyone desire to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”

 

A time of Sifting, Shifting and Outpouring

 

I heard the Lord say, “A time of great sifting and shifting is upon the earth and this will intensify in the times ahead. Changes in governments and leaders will be seen in some nations this year as I respond to the prayers of my people and move those into power who will bring about My plans and purposes. Sifting and shifting will also be seen in the church as I raise up those who will allow My Spirit to move with freedom and who will advance My kingdom purposes. My people have been through a season of refining in order for them to carry what I will pour out in and through them. They have been tested and tried in the fire and have come forth as gold. I order the seasons. Following the refining comes the outpouring; the outpouring of My Spirit. My Spirit is hovering over the earth and will move in power in regions where My faithful remnant have prepared the ground in intercession.”

 

Job 23:10 (NKJV) – But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.

 

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) – To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.

 

New Vision, Strategy, Fruit and Song

 

I heard the Lord say, “This year will be a year of abundant fruit and harvest, but before the fruit comes vision then partnership through faith and obedience which leads to the harvest. My people need eyes to see the way I am moving and the strategy for advancement and partnership. When the vision is before them they can then partner with it as led by My Spirit.”

 

The people of God will receive increased vision or revelation of the path or destiny the Lord has for them this year. They will also receive new strategies for advancement which will lead to new and abundant fruit. I heard the Lord say, “Things will not be as they have been before” and He then brought the story of John 21:1-6 before me where the disciples had been out fishing through the night and caught nothing but then Jesus tells His disciples to cast their nets to the other side of the boat and they catch a multitude of fish. As we are obedient to the leading of the Lord this year and follow the divine strategy revealed to us, we will see abundant fruit. At times the Lord will release a new strategy and at other times we will be called to not grow weary but to keep our hand to plow and continue taking steps of faith and perseverance as a harvest is ahead.

 

Galatians 6:9 (TPT) – And don’t allow yourselves to be weary or disheartened in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!

 

As much kingdom territory will be taken this year, there will be spiritual battles to fight and the Lord is going to release new strategies for battle. These will give all glory to Him as often it will be through supernatural ways where only the Lord could be credited for the victory and breakthrough. The Lord brought the story of Gideon’s army of 300 men in Judges 7 to my mind in reference to what we will see this year. Gideon’s army was reduced from 32,000 to 300 men as God wanted to ensure the Israelites would give all honour to God for their victory over the Midianites army of over 135,000. God gave Gideon an unusual strategy for battle. Surrounding the Midianites camp at night, the Israelites blew their trumpets, shouted their battle cry, broke their pitchers and held up their torches. The Midianites in their terror and confusion fought and killed each other and the Israelites were victorious. Likewise the Lord is saying to us that as we are obedient to His strategies for battle this year, even though they may seem impossible or unusual in the natural, we will see victory and breakthrough as He fights on our behalf and all glory will go to Him.

 

There will also be a new song or expression released by the people of God this year. This song will be a song of joy as they shout and testify of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

 

Psalm 27:13 (NKJV) – I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

 

Psalm 126:5-6 (TPT) – Those who sow their tears as seeds will reap a harvest with joyful shouts of glee. They may weep as they go out carrying their seed to sow, but they will return with joyful laughter and shouting with gladness as they bring back armloads of blessings and a harvest overflowing!

 

Partner in faith and call forth God’s will

 

May we partner with the Lord in faith in all He is wanting to bring forth. May we unite in decreeing we will see Joel 2:19 this year.
