Prepare the way of the Lord

The Lord is calling His bride to ‘prepare the way’ for His glory will be seen across the earth. We must make way for Him which will involve laying down our own agenda and taking up a kingdom mindset. A great call is going out from heaven to consecrate ourselves in preparation for all the Lord wants to do through us in the days ahead. The Lord is calling His people to repentance and a return to His ways. The Lord is awakening His church to the hour at hand and calling us to be renewed, surrendered and filled with His Spirit so we may partner with Him in seeing His kingdom advance.

Call to repentance and return to kingdom ways

I heard the Lord say, “I am raising up a prophetic company who are crying out ‘Prepare the way of the Lord’ in preparation for the great harvest and My end time plans. I am giving a voice to those who are crying out ‘Prepare the way of the Lord’. Just as John the Baptist prepared the way and carried My message of repentance so too prophets are arising, calling My people to repentance and a return to My kingdom ways. I am calling My people to return to their first love, for those who are set on fire with My love will release My love and bring transformation.”

The Lord is preparing His bride for a great harvest and move of His Spirit and this preparation involves a call to repentance and a return to Him and His ways. He is looking for those who are ignited by His love, not those who are luke warm, as those on fire for Him will ignite others. We are in a time of preparation and the Lord is calling His church to align with His ways and allow Him to move with freedom.

Isaiah 40:3-5 (NKJV) – The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth; the glory of the LORD shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

Call to consecration

The Lord then said, “I am calling My people to consecrate themselves in preparation for the greater glory that will be released. I am calling My people to walk a consecrated life, totally surrendered to Me. Those that embrace the call of consecration will be prepared to carry the increase I will release to them and the new I will release through them.”

There is a corporate call to consecration in preparation for what the Lord will release in the time ahead. He is calling His people to be set apart and surrendered to Him. The Lord gave the instruction to the Israelites just before crossing over the Jordan River to enter the promised land that they were to consecrate themselves because He was about to advance their borders. To consecrate yourself means to sanctify or purify yourself and set yourself apart for God’s purpose. Likewise, the Lord is calling His people now to consecration in preparation for the advancement He is bringing.

Joshua 3:5 (NASB) – Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

Shaking to bring alignment

The Lord spoke again and said, “There has been a watering down of My gospel and My word but I am raising up those who will speak My truth in love. I am shaking the doctrines and ways of man that have infiltrated My church and I am bringing people back to the truth of My word. A great shifting and shaking is occurring in the earth as I raise up those who will stand for righteousness and My ways. A shaking will also be seen in My church. Those who are humble, pure in heart and live to see My kingdom advance will be raised up. The shaking is part of My preparation as I desire to bring My church into alignment with My heart and My ways.”

The Lord is bringing His people back to the truth of His word. He is shaking those things which do not align with His word and ways and He is calling His people to allow the Holy Spirit to be their teacher and to ensure our doctrines line up with His word. He is shaking those things which are not of Him as it is His desire for His people to come into alignment so they can enter into the fullness of His plans.

Hebrews 12:28-29 (TPT) – Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights His heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender filled with awe. For our God is a holy, devouring Fire!

Operating in Zechariah 4:6 and being filled with the Spirit

I heard the Lord say, “My people will prepare the way by returning to My ancient paths as well as operating in Zechariah 4:6 for it is only by being filled and led by My Spirit that My kingdom plans will advance. Just as John the Baptist’s message included a call to baptism for repentance, those arising crying out ‘Prepare the way of the Lord’ also carry the message that I baptise with Holy Spirit and with fire, for My people need to be filled with My Spirit in order to be carriers of My glory.”

The Lord is calling us to walk in close fellowship with Holy Spirit and only move on the leading Him. We will only see God’s plans advance as we submit to His leading. The Lord is filling His people with His Spirit so they will be equipped to powerfully transform their sphere of influence. We are called to follow the example of Jesus and only do what we see the Father doing. As our hearts are aligned with the Father’s and as we are led by the Spirit we will bring glory to the name of Jesus.

The Lord is calling people back to the ancient paths. He is calling people to take the narrow path which is the path of holiness, humility and surrender. There is a higher path but few are willing to count the cost. God’s glory will be seen in a greater measure in the days ahead through the ones that have been separated out, refined, and prepared to carry what God will pour out in and through them.

Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) – ‘Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit’ says the LORD of hosts.

Matthew 3:11 (NKJV) – I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Jeremiah 6:16 (NKJV) – Thus says the LORD: “Stand you in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.”

Outpouring of glory

The Lord went on to say, “My glory will be poured out through refined, renewed and prepared vessels. Now is the time to be ready. Now is the time to prepare the way. The call to prepare the way is not just for individuals but for nations. An awakening is upon My church and as My church awakens and arises, destinies over nations will be reclaimed. Prepare the way for a great outpouring of My glory is coming to the earth.”
